TMDB API Key

  1. Generate a Temporary Email

    Click here to generate a temporary email address. This will only be needed for signing up. Keep this page open.

  2. Create An Account

    Create Your Account

    1. Click here to open the TMDB account sign up page.
    2. Enter a username and password, followed by the temporary email generated from the previous step. Then click Sign Up.

    Verify Your Account

    Return to the temp-mail.org tab, open the message from TMDB, and click the verification link.

  3. Create Your API Key

    Section titled “Create Your API Key”
    1. Click here to open the TMDB API page.
    2. Click click here under Request an API Key.
    3. Put in “Stremio Streaming” for the Application Name and “https://web.stremio.com” for the Application URL.
    4. Put in “I want to stream things with TMDB metadata.” for the Application Summary.
    5. For the Contact Info you can provide false information. For example, I put in my name is The Duck. My phone number was 1234561299. My address was 42 Duck Lane in Ducktown CA, 08009.
    6. Click Subscribe

Your TMDB account is created and API key generated! To access your API key at any point in the future you can visit https://www.themoviedb.org/settings/api.
