IPTV

  1. There are three main types of IPTV services:

    1. Public Free IPTV Providers
      • Example: Live TV Builder
      • Pro: Truly 100% free
      • Con: The least amount of channels, though may cover what you need
    2. Public Public IPTV Providers
      • Examples: Trex, Strong8K
      • Pro: Easy to buy online, broad channel lists
      • Con: Limited to one stream at a time
    3. Private Paid IPTV Providers
      • Pro: Better quality, faster loading, higher resolution, and support
      • Con: More expensive per stream, but cheaper if you need multiple streams
  2. An EPG (Electronic Program Guide) shows what’s currently playing on each channel.

    • Most private providers include EPG automatically.
    • Public providers may require you to add your own.
  3. Most IPTV apps work the same way:

    1. Open your IPTV app and look for Add Playlist or Add Source.
    2. Choose Xtream Codes API (sometimes just called “Xtream”).

      Live TV Builder uses M3U

    3. Enter the information from your IPTV provider.
    4. If your provider didn’t include an EPG, go to EPG settings and add a source. Talk to your provider for suggestions.
